How to Make an Old Fashion Eggplant Stew or an Amish Cheese Soup

Here are a couple of recipes for some good soup and stew. This Amish

AMISH CHEESE SOUP
This is an old Old Order Amish recipe.

1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tbsp butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 cup chicken broth

3/4 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook carrots and celery in boiling water until tender. Do not drain. Melt
butter in large saucepan and add onion; cook until tender. Stir in flour
and blend well. Gradually add the milk and chicken broth. Add the carrots
and celery. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Stir in the cheese and stir
over low heat until the cheese is melted.

Yield: 6 servings

SYRIAN EGGPLANT STEW
I got this recipe years ago from a lady in the Ft. Worth, Texas area. It
was an old Syrian family favorite her grandmother had made for her.

1 large eggplant
3 or 4 garlic cloves
1/3 cup olive oil
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 cans tomatoes
1 cup water
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp fresh parsley
1 tbsp capers, rinsed
1/3 cup Greek olives, pitted

Prepare this dish in a large, heavy Dutch oven.

Peel and crush garlic. Cut eggplant into cubes and lay out on a clean
kitchen towel. Salt eggplant and let sit for 10 minutes. Heat the olive
oil in the Dutch oven. Saute garlic in the medium-hot oil until it just
starts to brown; remove from the pan. Add the eggplant to the pan and
saute for 10 minutes. Add the onion and saute for another 10 minutes or
until onion is getting soft. Add the tomatoes and water. And additional
salt and pepper to taste. Simmer mixture for 30 minutes on low heat. Add
the capers and olives. Add the parsley just before serving.

Note: Serve a hot crusty bread with this stew. Also, this stew is great as
leftovers.

How To Make Classic Chili And Bean-Less Chili Recipes

When it comes to making chili, I enjoy making it all year long. During the
summertime, its a nice family dinner that doesn't require the use of an
oven on a long hot summer day. During the winter, chili is a great meal
during those long dark cold winter days.

The first recipe is a classic recipe...but the second one is a Texas-style
bean-less version. If you enjoy making freezer meals, I would suggest
using the first recipe as it freezes well for future meals. Each one will
feed 4-6 people.

Classic Chili Recipe

2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons table salt
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
dash of cloves
2 large cans kidney beans plus juice
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons basil
4 cups tomato juice
1 can crushed tomatoes

Note: If you like it really spicy, you can increase the chili powder to 4
tablespoons.

In a large skillet, brown your lean ground beef with minced garlic and
finely chopped onions until ground beef is no longer pink. Drain grease
from beef and set aside. In a large stock pot, combine all of the above
ingredients including the spices. Stir in the browned ground beef. Turn
heat to low and simmer for approximately 45 minutes or until its done.

Bean-less Beef Chili

2 lbs. lean boneless beef chuck
1/4 cup salad oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 green peppers, diced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes
1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
3 tablespoons chili powder
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons table salt
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
3 cups water
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese for garnishing

Rinse and cut beef chuck into 1" cubes and set aside. In a large stock
pot, heat salad oil over medium heat and add in the beef cubes. Brown beef
cubes on all sides until they are no longer pink. Remove beef cubes and
set aside. Stir chopped onions, green pepper and garlic in the stock pot
for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring every 2-3 minutes. Return the
beef cubes to the stock pot and then add in the can of tomatoes with
liquid and remaining ingredients, except for the cheese. Bring to a boil
and then reduce heat to a simmer, cover stock pot and cook over low heat
for 1 hour or until done. Ladle chili into bowls and sprinkle Monterey
Jack cheese on top.

WoW Tailoring Guide

Let us start with a quick introduction to what tailoring entails in World
Of Warcraft.

Tailoring can be done by any character class and is a primary profession.

Tailoring is handy for the cloth wearers such as Mages, Priests and
warlocks as they can make their own clothes or special clothing items that
they want.
Tailoring is pretty cool in the way of that no special equipment or
workshop is needed to make tailored items. All you need is the tailoring
recipe you wish to create and the ingredients and you can begin.

When you are a tailor you will be making items such as these:
bags(increase carry capacity- everyone needs these);clothes-shirts and
dresses are popular and players might ask you to make them a tux for a
wedding or special occasion.

Make sure to browse the AH to see what clothes other World Of Warcraft
players want and then make those clothing items to sell in the AH.

Cloth is the root of many recipes in tailoring so to get this you need to
loot a couple of humanoid corpses or kill various humanoids.

The other ingredients of the recipes are usually leather,gems or maybe
potions. All these items can be purchased in the Auction house or sourced
from the various professions.

Other professions that go well with tailoring are enchanting and skinning.

When you reach level 350 in tailoring you will need to specialize in one
of the following: primal mooncloth, shadow-weave or spellcloth.

The cool thing is when you specialize you will then be able to create 2
items for every 1 lot of material. Now that's neat and only have 1
cooldown period.

Cooldowns are compulsory waiting periods that Blizzard implemented in the
game that stops you from creating the same items the whole time. Once you
have created a specific item you need to wait for 4 days or less or more
before you can craft the same item again. However when you specialize you
can make 2 of that specific item for 1 cooldown period. Thereby doubling
your output. So get to level 350 asap.

Here is a quick guideline on what the 3 different specializations entail:

Spellfire- 28-slot enchanting bag ,Arcane/Fire damage items, (Fire/Arcane
Mage)

Shadow-weave - 28-slot soul shard bag ,Frost/Shadow damage items, (Frost
Mage/Warlock/Shadow Priest)
Primal Mooncloth - 20-slot bag ,Healing, (Holy Priest)

You will need to choose a further 1 of 3 specializations (Spellweave,
Ebonweave and Moonshroud) when you become a grand master tailor.

today the Sacher Torte is one of the best cakes and most popular in the
world, although nowhere is good as in the Austrian capital.

The secrets of traditional recipes are still jealously guarded by the
heirs of Franz Sacher. The original Sacher torte is protected by a
trademark and, to date, there are no worldwide licenses for the resale of
this product. There are however hundreds, perhaps thousands of imitations.

There are two official recipes. So twice a lawsuit arose between the shops
of Viennese pastries Sacher and Demel to determine who is allowed to sell
the "original" Sachertorte. Daniel Peter had begun his career as a
manufacturer of candles, but after the advent of oil lamps, he dedicated
to the design and creation of special mixers for cakes. He was also the
first maker of milk chocolate, combining the invention of the milk powder,
made by his neighbor Henry Nestlé and mixing the cocoa with the milk
powder to reduce the strong flavor. Demel pastry claimed as his invention
the Sacher-Torte and started against Franz Sacher and his grandchildren a
long court dispute, which ended only in 1875 with the victory of the
family Sacher. The following year, Franz Sacher, become rich, left the
kitchen to open the Hotel Sacher in Vienna, which he managed with his son
Eduard until his death.

The success that Sacher obtained with his invention was immediately
evident and the efforts made by the young were soon rewarded. So the tour
de force in the production of this sweet started, with the total
production of about 270,000 pieces and just like 160 years ago, are still
all filled with apricot jam, covered chocolate and packed by hand.

* 10 ounces of pre-made alfredo sauce
* 1 teaspoon of finely minced garlic

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

2. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl, mix well, and spread
the mixture into a small baking dish

3. Bake for approx. 25-30 minutes or until all the cheese is melted
